Important Dates

1. Abstract Submission Opens on - April 1st 2024

Rules & Regulations


  1. I confirm that I have previewed this abstract and that all information is correct and in accordance to the abstract submission guidelines provided on the Congress website
  2. I accept that the contents of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published exactly as submitted
  3. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to all congress publications
  4. I warrant and represent that I am the sole owner or have the rights to all the information and content ('Content') provided to APSICON 2024. The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third-party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights
  5. I grant the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content
  6. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  7. I am responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract
  8. The presenting author of submitted abstract needs to register for the conference, in order to present the paper in any form in the scientific proceedings. The organizers reserve the right to cancel any presentation in event of non-adherence, at any time before or during the conference.

Guidelines for Abstract submission


1. The submitted abstract should include the first author and maximum 4 co-authors.

2. The presenting author to be mentioned

3. All communication will be to the person submitting the abstract

4. Abstract to be submitted in, Calibri script, Font size – 12

5. Title not to exceed 50 words with each word capitalised

6. Abstract to be organised into the following headings and not to exceed 500 words

A. Introduction
B. Materials and Methods
C. Results
D. Discussion
E. Conclusion

7. We recommend using word-processing software (MS- Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words. Typing your text directly into the field is not recommended

8. Please expand the abbreviations so that it can be easily understood

9. Relevant images, slide, charts or tables can be submitted with the abstract in jpeg, ppt or pdf format. The file cannot exceed 10 Mb of data.

10. No charts or tables to be included in the abstract write up, however they can be incorporated into attached files as jpeg, pdf or ppt.

11. All the sessions will be held during the main conference from September 10th to 14th 2024

12. Posters will be physical printed posters for display, not e-posters!

13. Please make sure to click on the 'Submit' button at the end of the submission process.

14. Abstract can be considered under a different category than submitted for, as deemed appropriate by the scientific committee

15. Please choose a category for your presentation, more than one category can be submitted.

For APSI Junior Best Paper


Eligibility

Junior Plastic Surgeons undergoing Plastic Surgical training (M Ch or DrNB Plastic Surgery) training, or not more than one year after training. The paper should not have any co-author.

  • The last date for submission for APSI Junior Best Paper Award will be on June 1st 2024.
  • If there are several entries, the organisers will select the best papers for presentation. The papers which are not selected for presentation for the Junior Best Paper Award will be selected as free papers.

Submission

  • While submitting the abstract of the paper, please indicate on top that the paper be considered for this particular session.
  • The abstract should be accompanied by a certificate from the Head of the Dept. where the participant is undergoing training.

Presentation

  1. The title slide should not indicate the name of the institution
  2. The work should reflect that it has been carried out by the junior plastic surgeon
  3. Anybody from the audience is free to ask questions on the presentation.
  4. Judges for the session will be appointed by the President and Secretary APSI

For The APSI Ashok Koul Innovators Award


Enlistment criteria

  1. Open only to full members of the APSI.
  2. Preselected 10 entries will be considered for podium presentation.
  3. Winner for the award will be selected by a panel of judges.
  4. The option of publishing the winning entry will be given to the innovator
  5. The entry should not have been published earlier and not have been awarded for presentation in previous APSI meetings
  6. Award shall be declared and conferred at the end of the session

For Resident Forum


For Dr Sam C Bose and Mrs Saroja Bose Award


There is no special presentation session for this category of papers. During abstract submission for APSICON, authors have an option to get their papers considered for this category. Such option must be opted during online abstract submission.

Later, a scientific Committee asks for full text of such papers to be judged by a panel. All delegates who opt for their paper to be considered for this award, continue to present their paper as general paper in the break away sessions of subjects of their papers.

The panel is decided by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Chairman of the Scientific Committee and Organizing Secretary of APSICON. Chairman of the Scientific Committee shall carry out the final marks summation procedure and hand over the result to Secretary APSI before General Body Meeting. Winner is declared during the general Body by the Secretary. The winner for for this particular APSICON shall receive medal, certificate and cash price at the next APSICON.
