1. Eligibility Criteria for International travelling fellowship. (For Young Plastic Surgeons)

  1. The applicant must be a full member of APSI and within 5 years of M.Ch./DNB in Plastic Surgery.
  2. The applicant needs to have a confirmation letter from an overseas center for fellowship for a minimum period of 4-6 weeks.
Apply in prescribed form to reach Secretary-APSI by 31st July, 2024.

2. Eligibility criteria for International travelling fellowship (For Senior Plastic Surgeons)

  1. The applicant must be a full member of APSI for at least 5 years.
  2. He/She must have attended at least 3 APSICON meetings in the last 5 years.
  3. Age limit to apply is up to 50 years.
  4. The applicant needs to have a confirmation letter from an overseas centre for fellowship for a minimum period of 4-6 weeks.
    • Apply in prescribed form so as to reach Secretary-APSI by 31st July, 2024.
    • Successful applicants are required to maintain a daily diary as per proforma during the period and obtain a certificate of attendance from the consultant.
    • Failure to submit report after being awarded the fellowship or grant will amount to default and the applicant will not be allowed to apply for fellowship or grant for period of three years.
APSI members may send application with short CV with approval from proposed centre of visit to Secretary - APSI by 31st July 2024.


Fellowships Eligibility
APSICON 2010-Goa-1
  • One International travelling fellowship will be given from surplus of Goa 2010 APSICON corpus
  • The applicant must be Full member of APSI with minimum 2 years post qualification as a Plastic Surgeon
  • The visit to a centre must be for 4 weeks or more
  • Application must be accompanied by a letter from the concerned centre accepting the Fellow for the said period
  • If no suitable candidate is found two national awards may be given as decided by EC
  • For national award both Full and Associate members can apply
  • Application in prescribed form along with letter of acceptance from centre to be visited must reach the secretary by the date specified for that year

  • Corpus donated by Dr. Pratap R. Saraiya and Seth Purshottamdas Thakurdas and Divalibhai Charitable Trust.
  • Eligibility: A full member within 1 years of passing MCh. to visit a centre of international repute for a period of 4 weeks at least. Due weightage to be given to the prestige of the centre that has accepted the candidate and the period of training.
Brig. Kathpalia Hand Surgery Corpus of Rs 100,000/- donated by Mrs. Kathpalia w/o Late Brig. P.M. Kathpalia, Past President of APSI, in year 2000.
KEM Dr. Tambwekar Microsurgery National travel and training fellowship
Vasudhan Arjin Fellowship Laser Surgery Fellowship in Laser surgery
Myovatec Training fellowship Plastic surgery Corpus of Rs 125,000/- donated by Myovatec Surgical Systems Itd in 2001. 80 percent of interest to be awarded as fellowship amount and the balance to be added to the corpus.
Chennai Fellowships (Within 5 years of M.Ch./DNB) or plastic surgery trainee from anywhere in the country
- To visit one center for training in Tamil Nadu.
Chennai Fellowships Within 5 years of M.Ch./DNB) or plastic surgery trainee from Tamil Nadu
- To visit a center outside Tamil Nadu for training.
